Use this Romanesque hair slide tutorial to brighten up your bun!
I’m currently struck down with a mutated strain of the man-flu, so don’t expect much from me on today’s post.
I did manage to finish this project that I started last week before the sickness took over all my senses, but I definitely didn’t try to pretty myself up for the after photos. Sorry, brushing my hair took all the energy I had left.
Thanks to the husbang for taking the photos of the back of my head.
1 x plastic hair slide from Kmart, 10 x paper flowers, 1 metre of chain and 10 x leaf beads from Spotlight, embroidery thread, needle, hot glue gun, 2 x jump rings, pliers, drill.
Take the hair slide and cut it in half with the pliers. Firmly squeeze down on the edge and then the parts should crack and pull away easily.
Brace one half of the hair slide on a piece of scrap wood and firmly but slowly drill a hole in the bottom corner. Do the same for the other half.
Split the chain into three lengths, one small, one medium and one large. Take the jump ring and thread it through the hole in the slide, and thread the chain onto the ring then close it. Do the same for the other side.
Use the embroidery thread and needle to thread the leaves onto the hair slide and secure with a tight knot.
Snip the stems off the flowers and secure them with hot glue. Pressing down firmly until the glue dries.
