For those of you who know me, or read my blog, you would probably have noticed that I have somewhat of a penchant for the colours teal and pink. So when Chairish contacted me and asked me to go bold and share my taste for colour with a mood board around one of their vintage rugs (browse the selection here), I had to stop myself from picking the pink and teal options!
I went with this lovely green rug instead, in an effort to remove myself from the tried and true comfort colours I always seem to go with.
Chairish is a US based site that sells antique and vintage itmes online for third parties. How cool? I decided to give my style board an Aussie theme with artwork from Studio Cockatoo (1). My bro has one of their geometric budgies hanging on his wall at home.
The green of the rug wasn't exactly easy to match items to, but once I decided on the artwork and brought in the yellow as an option to extend the pallet, I was golden. Get it? Sorry. Cushions are from Ikea (3).
Then, on to my favourite of all favourite furniture stores, Freedom for a vintage lounge (2), beaten silver side table (4) and white geometric coffee table (6) evocative of the artwork on the wall, and then to Empire Homewares (5) for a chair in a netural colour to soften the look.
Last stop was Typo, and their homewares range 'The Hall' (8). I made a cute little collection to go onto the coffee table, sitting on the silverplate black laminate serving tray (7) from Chairish!
What do you think? And who wants to join me in starting up the Australian arm of Chairish? :)
