The theme of Christmas for me this season seems to be the stag. If I see one, I must buy! Luckily, this one was only $2 from Kmart Australia. I had picked two up and put them in my trolley even before I’d thought of something to do with them.
After some thought I came up with a cute alternative Christmas wreath idea for the front door. And there’s this phrase I use when crafting: When in doubt, stick a magnet on it and chuck it on the fridge. I think I should make a shirt with that caption on it.
Project 1: Stag, frame, postcard, hot glue gun.
Project 2: Stag, magnet, hot glue gun (optional alphabet letters for a caption).
Project 1: Stag Wreath
Put the postcard in the frame! I had to trim mine to fit. I got it from Ikea.
Glue the stag to the front of the frame. I eyeballed it first, the stag looked better towards the bottom and inside the frame.
Hang it on your door! I used a removable hook and the fixing that was already on the frame.
Project 2: Stag Magnet
Glue the magnet to the back of the stag head with some hot glue.
Write something witty with your alphabet letters and stick it on the fridge!
Merry Fridgemas everyone!
