Generic lanyards are super boring. They’re also super uniform. Chances are you’re one of the masses with a black or blue fabric lanyard that holds your keys. Snore. Who wants to walk around with a snoring lanyard hanging around their neck. Not I!
(I get locked out of the office a lot as a result).
I picked up a sparkly red lanyard at Smiggle a couple of months ago, and it changed my ‘tude to lanyards. I actually want to wear it now, people comment on it all the time. But it doesn’t always fit my colour scheme.
Do I hear… lanyard crafternoon?!?!?!
A trip to Spotlight and $25 later, I have all that I need to make a trio of kickass lanyards to complement my office attire.

This one was ridiculously easy.
Fold just over a third of the width of the tape onto itself. I found it easiest to pin both ends and the distance I wanted, then press down from one end towards the other. You might not get it completely straight, but it doesn’t matter for this project.
